Abstract This study was survey research which aimed to compare self - management behaviors and estimated glomerular filtration rate ( eGFR ) , between patients with chronic kidney disease CKD ) who received conventional medicine group and conventional medicine cooperated with Buddhist medicine group . This study conducted in 4 Health Promoting Hospital , Kalasin Province since January 2017 to November 2017 . The samples consisted of 76 patients by purposive sampling according to inclusion criteria . They were assigned into an experimental group and compared group by using mat c h pair, 38 patients p er each group . The research instruments were rating - scale questionnaires . Descriptive stat istics and independent sample t - test were used to analyze the data . The results of the study found that the mean score s of self - management behavior and health status, among the Buddhist medicine cooperated with conventional medicine gro up, were higher than the conventional medicine group ( p< . 001 ).
