Boneproblems , especially osteoarthritis are common in the elderly . forty percent % of osteoarthritis were found among 65 million Thai population fifty percent % of those went to see the physician with the symptoms of osteoarthritis . This study was a quasi - experimental research . The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of cold herbal poulticing on knee pain symptoms among elderly in Don Tan Subdistri ct , Don Tan District, Mukdahan p rovince . Purposive samp ling for 30 samples age between 60 - 85 years according to inclusion criteria . The operating of cold herbal ( made from 6 types of herbs ) poulticing on knee took 4 weeks ( 3 times a week ). The instruments in this research were questionnaires, personal information, Oxford Knee Score questionnaires for classify , in the levels of pain, Modifide WOMAC questionnaires for measurement the levels of pain perception . Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and paired sample t - test .
