A Japanese interviewed Samana Bhodhirak

Interpreter : This is our teachings here. Their activities have been fully supported by 4 organizations, as I've just mentioned. I inform you - we have 4 organizations, 2 foundations and 2 associations. The 4 organizations consist of approximately 100,000 members. The main purpose of publishing books is the printing of Dharma publications which has now reached approximately 5 million issues. (Yes, until now.) So this is our purpose. Santi Asoke has proved to conform to the civic duties of the public and good morals. They should be protected by the constitutions and most importantly we request for the decorations of Human Rights to protect them. Thank you.

Japanese : Why did he decide to separate from Sangha, why ?

Interpreter : He was forced to teach as they used to do but he has his different will. So he decided to leave.

Japanese : What's the difference in the interpretation of

Interpreter : He was more progressive. Difference in interpretation, different practice and prohibited to release to the ... prohibited to travel around to teach the people and prohibited to preach the people.

Interpreter : There are some differences in practice and also in Buddhist protocol. Interpreter : Different in activities, protocol and behavior.

Christ began his teaching and the practices, the ruling party was the Jewish and Jesus republicated the Bible in a different way and he did different practice. For instance, he did the service to the orderly people on holiday but it was prohibited by the ruling party. But Jesus said this is for the people why I shouldn't do it.

Interpreter : And how could you solve the problem?

Japanese : Because of that, he was nailed to the christ. He had to die on the cross. That's all good charity gives him to be. But he didn't suffer.

Interpreter : He mentioned Nanasangwas. Nanasangwas means the difference of school of sorts, difference in teachings, understanding and interpreting in practicing behavior so far and so forth. So, that's why he established and separated the congregation to be independent in practice.

Japanese : I think that to serve Buddha is to serve the people.

Phor Kru : Yes. That's great.

Japanese : We are praying for him and his movement and I have already written a small article, the sympathetic article in Japanese press. But after having these more details of materials, I'll be working on it and I'll say let your case be known to the outside world. (Yes !)

Interpreter : After the return to your country, would you please help us in the field of human rights. (Yes) Both in the Dharma Vinai aspect and in the legal aspect. In case you need more information, please kindly let us know.

Japanese : Let's cooperate. Thank you.

Interpreter: Would you please say a few words to the chief of our monks.

Isaka : I'm the secretary general for Asia, but I don't have any special rights on these matters for I generally leave.

Isaka : When this case is handled and it becomes a general matter for Asia peace then I shall come to the future. At this moment it is the human rights information. We have special information for that.

Isaka : Human rights have always been universal. So on the basis of non interpretation you cannot deny the criticism or the part of the outside world. For instance, some Indians say human rights are over there in South Africa as the outside world will criticize and the government can't say this is an internal matter you shouldn't intervene. It is not so. So far that human rights are concerned every possible inside and outside of the country and can be handled in the proper way.

Isaka : On that same basis as in South Africa established a variety normally to assist, always interfering in our internal affairs.

Isaka This is in South Africa. The established authority in Thailand will also say that. If we say something about India. They say we're interfering in internal affairs.

ĹčŇÁ For your information, Mr. Sin and Mr. Isaka we send all the papers to the world law organization in the (yes, very good) They've shown great interest to come to visit us. Three of them are coming but we are in the process of arranging the program and the money matters for the ticket plan.

Isaka Would you please tell him that we hope he will be determined to continue his course for the sake of Buddha and for the sake of the people.

ĹčŇÁ He will do it, he is determined.

Isaka We'll pray for you and for your movement.
